When you’re planning a stay in one of our Orlando vacation rentals with a pool, the first attraction that comes to mind is probably Walt Disney World. But trust us: you don’t want to miss a trip to Universal Studios Orlando, either! Universal Studios is full of fun for the whole family and is a great place to spend your day. Here’s everything you need to know before you go!

Universal Studios Orlando Parks
First things first: what Universal Studios Orlando parks can you enjoy? To start, there’s the classic Universal Studios Florida. This park is where you’ll find popular attractions such as Diagon Alley in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, TRANSFORMERS: The Ride-3D, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, Fast and Furious – Supercharged, and more. Hours may vary depending on the season, but this park nearly always opens at 9 a.m. and closes around 7 p.m.
Islands of Adventure has even more for you to enjoy. Stroll the streets of Hogsmeade from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, get your thrills on The Incredible Hulk Coaster, or face down dinosaurs on the Jurassic Park River Adventure. While hours may vary, this park typically opens at 9 a.m. and closes around 7 p.m.
Universal CityWalk Orlando is the place to be when you want a break from the coasters but still want to experience unforgettable entertainment. You’ll find seemingly endless shopping and dining options, guaranteeing that there’s a little something for your whole group to enjoy. This is also one of the best places to grab a fun souvenir! CityWalk has some of the most generous hours, opening at 8 a.m. and closing around midnight or later.
Universal Volcano Bay Water Theme Park
To cool off on a hot day, head over to Universal Volcano Bay Water Theme Park! You’ll know you’re in the right place thanks to the huge volcano in the middle. Here, you can enjoy exciting rides like the Krakatau Aqua Coaster or head somewhere more relaxing like Waturi Beach. Volcano Bay usually opens at 10 a.m. and closes around 5 p.m.
Tickets
Of course, you’ll need to purchase Universal Studios Orlando tickets to come enjoy all this fun for yourself. Tickets for Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure start at $109 per person, while tickets for Volcano Bay start at $80 per person. Keep in mind that these figures do not include tax. If you want to experience more than one park, you can purchase a multi-day ticket to save on your trip! 2-Park, 1-Day tickets start at $164 per person for adults. If it’s Hogwarts that you’re particularly interested in, consider opting for Park-to-Park Access aboard the Hogwarts Express so you can experience both Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade in one day.

Directions to Universal Studios
Now, how do you get to Universal Studios from one of our Orlando vacation rentals? The trip is incredibly easy and typically takes no more than 15 minutes. Simply make your way to I-4 and take Exit 75B-A. Keep left at the fork to continue on Exit 75 B, then follow the signs for FL-435 S/Kirkman Rd/International Dr and merge onto FL-435 S/S Kirkman Rd. Continue on this road and you’ll be at Universal Studios in just a couple of miles!
If you’re staying in one of our Orlando vacation rentals near Disney that’s a bit further out, you might be interested in directions from Kissimmee.
